Stefanie Gaiser

Founder & Managing Partner · leads technology, engineering and operations.
I am responsible for ensuring that GenAutopia does not pay for its speed with technical debt. Technology only counts for me once it can be built securely, operated reliably and continuously developed further.
My responsibility in GenAutopia

I lead the technical architecture, software engineering and AI organisation of GenAutopia. This includes quality assurance, ensuring security, compliance with regulatory requirements such as data protection, as well as release management, operations and the technical evolution of all products and the shared platform.

I translate product requirements into systems that work not only in a demonstration, but hold up under real-world conditions. In doing so, I ask the decisive questions:

  1. Is the architecture robust enough for growth?
  2. Are roles, handovers, KPIs and control mechanisms clearly defined?
  3. Is every release tested, observable and controllable?
  4. Are security, data protection and data integrity built in from the start?
  5. Can the product be operated and developed reliably?
  6. Are regulatory requirements met?
Critical decisions and ultimate responsibility remain with people.
My foundation

I grew up on a farm in southern Germany. There I learned early to take responsibility, act pragmatically and handle resources with care. What mattered was never how good a plan sounded, but whether it worked in reality.

My path runs from communications engineering and software engineering through international program leadership and strategic transformation into operational C-level roles.

For more than 20 years I worked where technology, regulated markets and operational reality must be mastered at the same time. I led technology and financial companies, owned value-creation and restructuring programmes, scaled acquired units and established governance for complex international organisations.

This experience shapes GenAutopia: architecture and operations are not thought of separately. Speed emerges within clear quality, security and responsibility boundaries.

Selected responsibility and impact

Value creation and restructuring
Situation

A leading financial-technology group needed a coordinated international transformation. Growth, cost structure and operational streamlining had to be advanced at the same time.

Responsibility

As Chief Business Transformation Officer and later Managing Director and Board Chair, I developed and led international transformation and value-creation programmes. These included strategic prioritisation, operational restructuring, cost efficiency, process improvement and a robust governance model.

Impact

The value-creation plan led to double-digit EBITDA development. The core product achieved double-digit revenue growth; the Swiss entities became sustainably profitable.

Post-merger integration and scaling
Situation

Acquisitions and organically grown units met differing processes, governance structures and international ways of working.

Responsibility

I led complex post-merger integrations, developed scalable operating models and standardised core processes across delivery, financial operations and contract lifecycle management.

Impact

Acquired units and start-ups were scaled to enterprise level. Execution covered the direction of various cross-functional teams and established durable governance and delivery structures.

Strategic transformation and data
Situation

A Swiss financial-information provider needed a new strategic direction for products, data control and collaboration with external partners.

Responsibility

I led customer and market analyses, developed the strategic target picture and directed a multi-year data-control programme from definition to organisation-wide rollout.

Impact

The work created a robust foundation for future products, aligned internal and external stakeholders and established consistent standards for data control.

Mission-critical delivery
Situation

International client projects had to be delivered reliably under tight deadlines, high regulatory requirements and complex stakeholder constellations.

Responsibility

I led critical programmes end to end, from planning and team coordination to risk management, stakeholder communication and accountability for results.

Impact

The programmes were completed successfully, critical risks were controlled and delivery capability towards clients was strengthened sustainably.
